Adaeze Ihebom is a visual artist whose work explores themes of identity, heritage, and the female experience through self-portraiture, conceptual storytelling, and cultural reimagination. Born in Italy of Nigerian heritage, her practice is rooted in the intersection of diasporic identity and historical narratives, often challenging the Western gaze and colonial legacies in representation. Her photography is both intimate and political, weaving together ancestral memory, literature, and personal mythology.

Drawing inspiration from Igbo traditions, historical texts, and feminist discourse, Adaeze uses her own image as a site of transformation and reclamation. Through her work, she creates a dialogue between past and present, myth and reality, and personal and collective histories. Her artistic achievements include nominations for the PDN 30 (2021) and the FOAM Paul Huf Award (2020).
